Barbara was born in 1871 in Ohio. She lived at this house in 1888 with her parents, brother John and sister Mary while working at
the watch factory.
The Columbus Watch Company was located on Thurman Avenue, and was founded in 1874. It was a major employer before,
in 1903, it was sold and moved to South Bend, Indiana
