Biographical Notes:
Adam Streng was born about 1834 in Baden Germany. He married Elizabeth and they had children Elizabeth, Susan Barbara, and Rosa. He was a private in the Union Army in 1865 and then worked as a blacksmith for the next forty years.
John Moehl was born in 1838 in Ohio of German parents. He married in 1862 and with wife Katherine had a son George. He served in the 185th Ohio Infantry during the Civil War, then worked as a wagon maker. He died in 1910.
