               Adam and Margarita Fornof

In 1910, Adam Fornof was 72 and retired from owning and managing a store. Married to Margaretha for 42 years, they married twenty years after he immigrated from Germany in 1857. Their daughters Katherine and Emma were now 27 and 21.

While most people of his age would be happy with the tag of retiree, he told the folks with the Columbus City Directory that he was now a "gardner." Seniors living in our community over 100 years later can relate I'm sure.
