Henry and Barbara Falkenbach

In 1878, Henry had one of those jobs that would be a victim of progress, lamplighter. Gas streetlights required someone to light them each night and to extinguish them in the wee hours. Luckily for wife Barbara and their five children, the security aspect of this job led to future employment as a watchman and guard.
