Conrad was listed as a janitor as early as 1867. He married Agatha in January of 1855.
The Third Street School in German Village was
previously known as Public School No. 6. It was built in 1864. It is the oldest city school still standing, though it is no longer
owned by the district and operates as a hobby shop for the city's senior citizens.
