Caroline was born in 1852 in Pennsylvania, She was married to Adolph, and lived till 1932. She was a photographer while living at 556 City Park Ave. in 1886.

Anna Atkins, (1799-1871) may have been a role model for Caroline. She was credited as the first woman to publish a book of pictures.
