Biographical Notes:
Mathias Hauser ran a
grocery at this location as
early as 1864. He was born
in 1835 and died in 1873.
Mary Hauser continued to
run the grocery after her
husband's death. With her
were her children Fred
and Rebecca and grand-
three grandchildren.
John Esper was born in
1857 in Ohio. With wife
Margaret, raised a son
Allen.
