Biographical Notes
Frank Schmitt was born about 1824 in Baden, Germany. According to the 1880 Federal Census, he was a widower with five children: Mary, Frank, Margareth, Alice, Anna, and Joseph. He died in 1887.
Julius Winterrer was born about 1868 in Baden, Germany, immigrated in 1876, and married Nettie. He worked in his younger years as a chain maker.
