Biographical Notes:
Fred was born in 1865 in Ohio. He married Margaret in 1887, and they had children Herbert and Helen one and five years later. Fred became a city fireman in 1900 and was with the fire department at least till 1920, four years after the death of his wife in 1916. One can imagine Margaret worried about the risk Fred faced when leaving for work each day. He died in 1935.
